For the period from 2011 to 2100, the mean values of the 10- or 30-year time period of the visualised parameter are shown for the selected climate scenario (RCPs for Germany, SSPs for the other countries). Under the Settings tab, you can also select the desired season instead of the whole year and have it displayed graphically. Use the different zoom levels (plus and minus buttons) to display the graphs for different regions or the whole country.
The diagrams open when you click on specific regions of the map outlined by borders.
For the past period till 2017, the results shown in the diagram are based on observed, reanalysed or simulated climate data, depending on the selection (see information texts under Data basis).
The simulated results are arranged in order of magnitude and statistical percentages of probabilities are calculated (percentiles). The percentiles are represented by three graphs. The bottom graph shows the 10 % percentile, where ten percent of the results are equal to or below and 90 percent are above. The graph of the 50 % percentile represents the value at which 50 % of the results are equal to or below and 50 % above. It thus corresponds to the median. The top graph represents high calculated results (90 % percentile).
The 10- or 30-year mean values of the selected parameter are shown in column form. The y-axis shows the values of the selected parameter in the respective unit. The values of the extreme years are represented by the black error bars. Here, the 10% percentile is shown as the lower edge of the bar and the 90% percentile as the upper edge.
In addition, the mean parameter values of the different seasons and of the whole year for the selected time period can also be displayed as tables. To do this, click on the "Table" button at the top right of the pop-up window.
To have the daily values of the parameters displayed, select "Expert mode" under the "Settings" tab in the last section. In the pop-up window, the third option "Daily" is now available.
The x-axis shows an average monthly series from January to December. The median of the daily values of the selected time period (10 or 30 years) is graphically visualised. In addition, the cumulative values can be displayed. In both diagram types, the black graph shows the current year. The median of the specified time period is shown by means of a dashed line. The range between the 10% and the 90% percentile is highlighted in grey. In addition, the daily values of the last 30 years and the extreme years can be displayed.
